「論曰至或二三四」，釋頌本也。文中有五：一唯取現故先說、二唯取所造故先說、三取離境故先說、四遠速故先說、五上下次第故先說。此文第一唯取現境故，五先說也。

On the commentary text beginning, "The Śāstra says: ... or two, three, four": this explains the root verse. In the text there are five [reasons]: first, they are stated first because they grasp only the present; second, they are stated first because they grasp only the derived [elements]; third, they are stated first because they grasp objects from a distance; fourth, they are stated first because they operate at a distance and rapidly; fifth, they are stated first in order of above and below. In this text, the first is that because they grasp only present objects, the five are stated first.
