The treatise says, "Analytical cessation takes, up to: is called analytical cessation," which explains the two cessations. In the text there are three [parts]: 1. presenting its nature, 2. explaining the derivation of its name, and 3. clarifying identity and difference. This is the first. "Analytical cessation takes separation from bondage as its intrinsic nature" cites the name 'separation from bondage' to present the intrinsic nature of analytical cessation. Why it is separation from bondage is because contaminated [dharmas] become distant from the fetters of intrinsic nature and cognitive objects and attain liberation; this liberation is called analytical cessation, and therefore this analytical cessation takes separation from bondage as its nature.
