「論曰至顯乘前起後」，頌云「此復成十八」者，乘前分為六受及分二受，此復分成十八，故是乘前起後。

[On the Śāstra's statement:] 'The Śāstra says [from here down to] to show taking up what preceded and giving rise to what follows', the verse says, 'These, further, become eighteen.' This takes up the preceding division into six feelings and division into two feelings; these, further, are divided into eighteen, hence it 'takes up what preceded and gives rise to what follows.'
