10.18

論「彼非無明至故非無明」，答也。惡慧之中有一分慧，是五見故。既非九結等有見結、無明結等別，故知是見不是無明。

The treatise says: "That is not ignorance ... hence it is not ignorance." This is the answer. Within bad discernment there is a portion of discernment that consists of the five views. Since among the nine fetters and the like there are distinct designations such as the fetter of views and the fetter of ignorance, we know that it is a view and not ignorance.
