論「雖爾就勝至能起當有」，此略答也。段食、觸食能益現勝，思、識二食引當勝故，故唯說四。

On the treatise's statement, "Although that is so, based on their preeminence ... able to produce future existence": this is a brief answer. Because morsel food and contact food are preeminent in benefiting the present, while the two foods of volition and consciousness are preeminent in drawing forth the future, only four are spoken of.
