10.61

論「說離三和至出現樂等」，此有部通經也。有兩釋。第一釋云：我部所誦經文異此，不言三法聚集和合名為觸也。第二云：三法聚集和合是生觸因，令說此名觸，是因取果名，如說諸佛出世能生樂故名樂。

The treatise says: "Stating that apart from the coming together of the three [...] the appearance of [the Buddhas] is bliss, and so forth." Here the Sarvāstivāda resolves the sūtra. There are two explanations. The first explanation states: The sūtra text recited by our school is different from this; it does not state that the gathering and coming together of the three dharmas is called contact. The second explanation states: The gathering and coming together of the three dharmas is the cause that generates contact; having this called contact is applying the name of the result to the cause, just as saying that the appearance of the Buddhas in the world can generate bliss, and is therefore called bliss.
