論「若爾無明體應非有。破也。若明無故名曰無明。無明即應明無為性」，無明若以明無為性，無明即應體非有也。
The treatise says: "If so, the entity of ignorance should not exist." This is a refutation. "If it is named ignorance because of the absence of clarity, then ignorance would have the absence of clarity as its nature"; if ignorance has the absence of clarity as its nature, then the entity of ignorance would not exist.
