11.37

「論曰至以立洲號」，「香醉山」者，此山中香氣，人嗅便醉，故名香醉。一殑伽河，從東面出，遶池一匝流入東海。二信度河，從南面出，遶池一匝流入南海。三徙多河，從北面出，遶池一匝流入北海。四縛芻河，從西面出，遶池一匝流入西海。

The commentary says: down to "thereby establishes the designation of the continent"—"Gandhamādana Mountain": the fragrance in this mountain intoxicates people as soon as they smell it, hence it is named "Intoxicated by Fragrance". First, the Gaṅgā River issues from the eastern side, circles the lake once, and flows into the eastern sea. Second, the Sindhu River issues from the southern side, circles the lake once, and flows into the southern sea. Third, the Sītā River issues from the northern side, circles the lake once, and flows into the northern sea. Fourth, the Vakṣu River issues from the western side, circles the lake once, and flows into the western sea.
