論「於劫減位至其相云何」，自此已下大文第三明災。就中有二：第一明小三災、第二明大三災。此即第一明小三災。

On the Śāstra's words, "During the period of decrease of a kalpa ... what are their characteristics?": From here onward is the third major division, explaining the calamities. Within this there are two parts: first, explaining the three minor calamities; second, explaining the three major calamities. This is the first, explaining the three minor calamities.
