論「現見實法至縷生衣等」，勝論指事釋也。藤生於支、縷生於衣，必同類生，不變異類。

The treatise says: "It is seen that substantial entities … threads produce cloth, and so forth." The Vaiśeṣikas explain by pointing to facts: Vines arise from stems, and threads produce cloth; they must arise from their own class and do not change into a different class.
