論「中及餘邊不對根故」，論主出畢竟不得衣所以。如多絲成衣之中，縷及表、裏不同，必不俱見，即應畢竟無得衣時。

The treatise says: "Because the middle and the other edges do not confront the faculties." The Master of the Treatise presents the reason why cloth could ultimately never be apprehended: Just as in cloth formed of many threads, the threads, exterior, and interior are different and certainly cannot be seen simultaneously, it follows that there would never be a time when cloth is apprehended.
