論「一一縷色等無種種異故」，結上過也。錦有分衣、有種種色，一一之縷無種種色。衣、縷不同，縷生衣故，證實從異類生也。

The treatise says: "Because the color and so forth of each individual thread has no diverse differences," this concludes the fault mentioned above. The whole brocade cloth has diverse colors, whereas each single thread does not have diverse colors. The cloth and the threads are not identical; since the threads produce the cloth, it proves that a substance would arise from a disparate category.
