論「有覆無記表至矯自歎等」，釋有覆表唯上地也。以諂、誑是有覆無記，故所發業其性亦同。

The commentary states: "Obscured indeterminate vijñapti ... falsely praising oneself and so forth." This explains that obscured vijñapti belongs only to the higher levels. Because deceit and pretension are obscured indeterminate, the karma they generate is also of the same nature.
