13.65

論「豈不闇中至安布為形」，有部救也。若言形色即是顯色安布差別積為形者，既不見顯，應不見形。既見形色不見於顯，故知顯外別有形色。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Is it not that in the dark [... to ...] arranged as shape?": This is the Sarvāstivādin's rescue. If one says that shape-matter is simply the differentiated arrangement of visible color accumulated into shape, then since one does not see visible color, one should not see shape. Since one sees shape-matter without seeing visible color, we know that apart from visible color there is distinct shape-matter.
