14.116

論「言下座者至不發律儀」，釋受律儀也。若不在下床等即不恭敬，有慢心故不得律儀。病者雖不曲躬等，無慢心故亦得戒也。

The treatise says: "'A lower seat' means ... does not generate the restraint." This explains receiving the restraint. If one is not on a lower seat or the like, one is disrespectful; because an attitude of conceit is present, one does not obtain the restraint. If a sick person does not bend or bow, because there is no attitude of conceit, they still obtain the precepts.
