16.10

論「豈不惡業果至名為白黑」，難也。善為惡業雜，善名為黑白；惡為善業雜，惡應名白黑。

The Śāstra says: "Would not the fruit of bad karma […] be called bright and dark?"—this is an objection. If the wholesome is mixed with bad karma and the wholesome is called dark and bright, then when the bad is mixed with wholesome karma, the bad ought to be called bright and dark.
