16.33

論「若爾則應至合成一體」，有部難也。貪、瞋、邪見，兩宗共許是煩惱故。此若是業，業與煩惱合成一體，無明應即行，愛、取即有，業障應即是煩惱障。

On the text, "If so, then [...] would merge into a single entity": The Sarvāstivādins object. Both schools agree that covetousness, malice, and wrong view are afflictions. If these were karma, then karma and affliction would merge into a single entity; ignorance (avidyā) would be formations (saṃskāra), craving (tṛṣṇā) and grasping (upādāna) would be existence (bhava), and the karmic obstacle (karmāvaraṇa) would be the affliction obstacle (kleśāvaraṇa).
