16.35

論「毘婆沙師說至成大過失」，引婆沙師出過失也。《正理論》云「正理者何？謂若煩惱即是業者，十二緣起及三障等差別應無。由此證知貪等非業。」

On the text, "The Vaibhāṣikas say [...] would entail great faults": This cites the Vaibhāṣikas pointing out the faults. The *Nyāyānusāra* says: "What is the correct principle? If afflictions were karma, there would be no distinction between the twelve links of dependent origination or the three obstacles. From this we know that covetousness and the like are not karma."
