The passage of the śāstra from "The dominant fruits obtained from these ten" up to "the distinction of the dominant fruits" is the third part, explaining the dominant fruit. Due to killing, luster is scarce, because one destroyed the luster of others. Due to taking what is not given, there is much frost and hail (because one harmed others' goods). Due to sexual misconduct, there is much dust and dirt (because one defiled another's reputation). Due to false speech, there is much foul stench (because one deceived others and they do not wish to hear it; this should be checked further). Due to divisive speech, one's dwelling is treacherous and winding (because travel among relatives is difficult). Due to harsh speech, fields have many thorns, etc. (because one's speech wounded others, etc.). Due to frivolous talk, the seasons and norms change (because one stated what is not so). Due to covetousness, fruits are few (because one desired to diminish others' property). Due to malice, fruits are pungent (hot and pungent like malice). Due to wrong view, fruits are few or non-existent (if light, fruits are few; if heavy, fruits are non-existent).
