17.61

論「二俱轉者至或雜穢語」，釋二俱轉，如文可解。《正理》彈云「經主於此作如是言：謂嗔心時究竟殺業，若起貪位成不與取、或欲邪行、或雜穢語。此亦非理。若自究竟，則應於殺無勞說瞋，此更無容餘究竟故。於盜、邪行說貪亦然。說起貪時成雜穢語，此言闕減，容三成故。若先加行，於究竟時，一一應言貪等隨一。」

The treatise says, "Operating together with two [...] or frivolous talk": this explains operating together with two, which can be understood from the text. The Nyāyānusāra criticizes: "The author of the treatise speaks here as follows: 'Namely, at the time of an angry mind, the karma of killing reaches completion; if at a time when greed arises, taking what is not given, or sexual misconduct, or frivolous talk is accomplished.' This is also illogical. If completed by oneself, then with respect to killing there would be no need to specify anger, since there is no possibility of any other completing it. Specifying greed with respect to stealing and sexual misconduct is also like this. Stating that frivolous talk is accomplished when greed arises is deficient, because it can be accomplished through three. If based on prior preparatory action, at the time of completion, it should in each case be said to be any one among greed and the rest."
