論「九十八隨眠中至亦是遍行攝」，已下大文第三明緣繫等別。於中有十一：一明遍行、二九上緣、三無漏緣、四二隨增、五明二性、六明世縛、七明斷離繫、八緣識隨眠、九有隨眠心、十明起次、十一明起因。此文初也。

On the Śāstra's: "Among the ninety-eight anusayas... are also subsumed under the universal," from here downward is the third major section, explaining the distinctions regarding conditioning, bondage, and so forth. Within this there are eleven [topics]: first, explaining the universal [defilements]; second, the nine that condition what is above; third, those that condition the undefiled; fourth, the two kinds of increase in accordance [with their objects]; fifth, explaining the two natures; sixth, explaining bondage to the realms; seventh, explaining abandonment and release from bondage; eighth, the anusayas conditioning consciousness; ninth, minds accompanied by anusayas; tenth, explaining the sequence of arising; and eleventh, explaining the causes of arising. This is the first of these passages.
