論「所以者何」，徵是無記所以。答中有三節：一釋我常見、二釋斷見、三雙釋二見。

The Śāstra states: "Why is this?" This inquires into the reason why they are indeterminate. In the answer there are three sections: first, explaining the view of self and permanence; second, explaining the view of annihilation; third, jointly explaining both views.
