19.73

論「且於欲界至十七七八四」，此就欲界五部惑數也。苦十，集、滅各七，道八，修四，成三十六。故云「如次十七七八四」。

On the passage where the Śāstra says, 'First, in the desire realm [...] ten, seven, seven, eight, and four': This concerns the number of afflictions across the five categories in the desire realm. Ten for suffering; seven each for origination and cessation; eight for the path; and four for cultivation, making thirty-six. Hence it is said: 'In order: ten, seven, seven, eight, and four'.
