論「若爾至見色非眼」，識見家難。若識有則見、識無不見，此見則由能依識，應是識見。

The *Śāstra* states: "If so... sees form, not the eye." The proponent of 'consciousness sees' challenges: if when consciousness is present there is seeing, and when consciousness is absent there is no seeing, then this seeing is due to the supported consciousness, and it should be consciousness that sees.
