The passage in the treatise from 'Eye and ear are not fixed' up to 'equal size to small or large' distinguishes that the eye and ear grasp objects of unfixed size. This also says that the supporting faculty and the object are not equal in size; it does not mean that it must be like a grape. Just as with half a grape, an eye grasping the object of a [whole] grape is also called grasping something large. Saying 'the sounds of mosquitoes, clouds, and so on' is judged according to the physical substance.
