2.91

論「或所造業至名異熟生」，第二釋也。此釋因名異熟，持業釋也。異熟即因，名異熟因。果名異熟生者，屬主釋也。

On the text of the treatise: "Or, karma performed… is called born of maturation": This is the second explanation. This explains why the cause is called maturation, which is an appositional compound (karmadhāraya). Maturation is itself the cause, termed the cause of maturation. That the fruit is called "born of maturation" is a genitive compound (tatpuruṣa).
