20.29

論「尊者世友至非體有異」，此述第三計也。此師意說：諸有為法有其三位，謂過去、現在、未來，法體是一，隨位名異。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Venerable Vasumitra […] not that there is a difference in substantial entity": this presents the third position. This master's intention is to say: conditioned dharmas have their three states/positions (avasthā), namely past, present, and future; the substantial entity of the dharma is one, and its name differs in accordance with its state.
