20.90

論「若謂即緣至彼名為無」，破有部轉計。若謂但緣十三處名為境者，十三處名是有。今言無者，此乃是撥彼名為無，非稱當也。

The Śāstra says: "If they say that one merely takes... that name is non-existent": this refutes the Sarvāstivādins' alternative hypothesis. If they say that one merely takes the name 'thirteenth āyatana' as an object, the name 'thirteenth āyatana' is existent. Now to say it is non-existent is to repudiate that name as non-existent, which is inappropriate.
