21.5

論「且結云何」，自下五義并垢，有六數也。此下五行半頌，第一明結。於中三種：一九結、二五下分結、三五上分結。此兩頌半明九結也。

The Śāstra says: "First, what are the fetters?"—From here below, the five meanings together with impurities make six items in number. Below this, five and a half verses first explain the fetters. Among them are three kinds: first, the nine fetters; second, the five lower-portion fetters; third, the five higher-portion fetters. These two and a half verses explain the nine fetters.
