論「身遠離者至由喜足少欲」，釋初因也。「離相雜住」者，謂離惡友也。此離相雜住及離不善尋二，易可得成，由喜足少欲。《正理論》云「此二由何易可成者？由於衣等喜足少欲。諸有多求資生具者，晝狎惡朋侶、夜起惡尋思，由此無容令心得定。」

On the Śāstra's 'Physical seclusion [...] through contentment and few desires': Explaining the first cause. 'Free from living in entanglement' means separating from bad companions. These two—separation from living in entanglement and separation from unwholesome applied thoughts—are easily accomplished through contentment and having few desires. The Nyāyānusāra says: 'By what are these two easily accomplished? By contentment and having few desires regarding clothing and so forth. Those who seek much requisites of life keep company with bad companions by day and give rise to bad applied thoughts by night; because of this, there is no way to allow the mind to attain absorption.'
