論「如是已說修所依器」，自下第三明七加行。文即有七。此一行頌第一明五停心位。文中有二：先總明入修二門、後別釋二門。此文初也。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Thus the vessel that is the basis for cultivation has been explained": Below this is the third section, explaining the seven preparatory applications (prayoga). The text consists of seven parts. This single-stanza verse is the first, explaining the stage of the five methods of stilling the mind. In the text there are two parts: first, a general explanation of the two gateways of entering into cultivation; second, a distinct explanation of the two gateways. This text is the first.
