「論曰至不名後向」，總答。由未起勝果道故，但名住果。《正理論》云「又非得果時即有勝果道所斷煩惱離繫得生，道類忍不能斷彼繫得故。」

From "The treatise says" to "they are not called the subsequent approach": A general answer. Because they have not yet given rise to the path of the superior fruit, they are merely named as 'abiding in the fruit'. The *Nyāyānusāra* says: "Furthermore, at the time of attaining the fruit, the possession of disjunction from the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of the superior fruit does not immediately arise, because the tolerance of the category of the path cannot sever the possession of those bonds."
