The Śāstra says: "Still others wish that […] increases by one hundred and twelve." This is the third master's statement. This master's exclusions concerning cessation are identical to the first master's, but there is a difference regarding the taking of cessation as object, because both collective and separate cognitions are accepted. Taking them separately is as before. As for taking them collectively: taking two at a time yields seven combinations; taking three at a time yields six; taking four at a time yields five; taking five at a time yields four; taking six at a time yields three; taking seven at a time yields two; taking all eight stages together forms one combination, giving twenty-eight truths in total. Each truth has four aspects, amounting to a total of one hundred and twelve aspects. Adding the initial fifty-two, there are one hundred and sixty-four in total. These one hundred and sixty-four never arise simultaneously; any single one arises according to circumstances.
