論「既說聖者至無漏斷得」，准釋。異生斷惑唯有漏得，聖斷見道有頂唯無漏得。言聖，簡異生。離八，簡有頂。修，簡見道。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Since it is said that a noble one up to anāsrava possession of severance": This is an explanatory deduction. An ordinary worldling severing defilements has only āsrava possession; when a noble one severs the path of seeing and the summit of existence, there is only anāsrava possession. Saying 'noble one' excludes ordinary worldlings. 'Abandoning eight' excludes the summit of existence. 'Cultivation' excludes the path of seeing.
