論「依上界身至不還果義」，答理也。離欲界染得第三果。若次第者，必依欲身離欲界染，先得果已方得生上。若超越者，必依見道得第三果，見道必依欲界身起，故第三果唯依欲界。

On the passage of the treatise from “Relying on a body of the higher realm ... up to ‘the meaning of the fruit of non-returner’”: this answers with the reason. One attains the third fruit by detaching from the defilement of the desire realm. If one proceeds by gradual stages, one must detach from the defilement of the desire realm relying on a desire-realm body, and having first attained the fruit, only then can one be born above. If one proceeds by leaping over, one must attain the third fruit relying on the path of seeing; and the path of seeing necessarily arises relying on a desire-realm body. Therefore, the third fruit is attained relying solely on the desire realm.
