論「經生習根至所依止故」，二義答也。《正理論》云「以曾經生、於自相續蘊積聖道極堅牢故、及得殊勝所依身故、由此彼無練根退理。」

The passage of the treatise starting with "Having undergone birth, the accustomed faculties... the basis relying upon" answers with two meanings. The Nyāyānusāra states: "Because they have undergone birth, the noble path has accumulated in their own continuum extremely firmly, and because they have attained a superior basis [of physical body], through this there is no principle for their refinement of faculties or retrogression."
