論「由此五法至分先後故」，答也。先下、後勝，故先名根，後名力也。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Because these five dharmas... are divided into earlier and later stages": This is an answer. The earlier is lower and the later is superior; hence it is first named 'faculty' and later named 'power'.
