25.29

論「此所得果至有退果義」，明若先位退種姓有退果義，若先位是思等姓無退果義。

On the Śāstra's statement: "The fruit obtained here ... admits of falling away from the fruit": This explains that if one's earlier stage was of the lineage liable to fall away, one admits of falling away from the fruit; if one's earlier stage was of reflection and so forth, one does not admit of falling away from the fruit.
