25.52

論「有說此定至故不名愛」，重釋時愛應果性是解脫。又已得故，更不希求，不得名為時愛，故知時愛現法樂也。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Some say this absorption ... therefore it is not called 'cherished'": This re-explains that the nature of the fruit of arhatship cherished at times is liberation. Furthermore, because it has already been attained, one no longer seeks it, so it cannot be called "cherished at times"; hence we know "cherished at times" refers to dwelling happily in the present life.
