The Śāstra states: "If one claims that that text... because it is not stated elsewhere": this refutes the Sarvāstivādin's interpretation of the text of the fundamental treatise. It asserts that "there is such a place" and "there is such an occurrence" are stated merely to show that the meaning of the preceding eight aspects is definitive; therefore such words are spoken. In other textual passages, it should also be stated like this. The Nyāyānusāra states: "This does not constitute proof, because it contradicts the intent of the treatise. The treatise shows that the aspects of the unbound [mind] are many, and among them there are those taking what is bound to the desire realm as object; spoken on the basis of what is admissible, the words 'there is such a place' and 'there is such an occurrence' show the absence of inversion. Precisely for this reason, other [passages] do not have these words (the above is from the treatise)."
