The passage from “The commentary says” up to “because of the knowledge of non-arising” explains the knowledge of non-arising, etc. The initial mind of the knowledge of exhaustion only takes the four aggregates of the peak of existence as its object; therefore, cultivation through activity comprises only suffering, origin, subsequent, and exhaustion knowledges. Although there are four designations, three are definitely of the same substance: suffering and origin are indeterminate, whereas subsequent and exhaustion [knowledges] are definitely of the same moment.
