論「既不能通至理亦不成」，西方師難。既不能通我前引經云「云何內聚？謂心若與昏、眠俱行」等文，所釋八句義別不成。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Since it cannot resolve […] the principle is also not established": the Western masters object. Since you cannot resolve the passage I cited earlier from the sūtra—"What is inwardly collected? Namely, if the mind runs together with lethargy and sleepiness"—your explanation of the distinct meanings of the eight clauses is not established.
