論「已辨前三唯共餘聖德」，此就共功德中，第二明通與凡共功德也。就中有六：一明六通；二述三明；三述三示導；四別明神境；五別釋眼、耳；六述通種類。此四行頌，第一明六通也。

The Śāstra states: "Having explained that the preceding three are shared only with the other noble qualities," this is within the shared virtues, the second part, clarifying the virtues that are shared in common with ordinary persons. Within this there are six: first, clarifying the six supernormal knowledges; second, recounting the three knowledges; third, recounting the three demonstrations; fourth, specifically clarifying the domain of supernormal power; fifth, specifically explaining the [divine] eye and ear; sixth, recounting the varieties of supernormal knowledge. These four lines of verse, the first, clarify the six supernormal knowledges.
