論「隨根說故至說依四言」，答也。就根說四定，識唯初定攝。

The Śāstra states: "Because they are spoken of according to the faculties … it states that they rely on four." This is the answer. With respect to the faculties, the four absorptions are spoken of, [whereas] the consciousnesses are subsumed only under the first dhyāna.
