論「此二界化至故總成八」，述化不同。在欲界作欲界化，有屬自身及屬他身為二；作色界化亦有二種，謂自、他身，合為四也。在色界亦四，故成八也。於自身上化，為屬自身化；若化外人，名屬他身化。

The Śāstra states: "Transformations of these two realms … thus making eight in total." This presents the differences in transformation. Producing a desire-realm transformation while in the desire realm has two types: belonging to one's own body and belonging to another's body; producing a form-realm transformation also has two types, namely one's own and another's body, totaling four. In the form realm there are also four, thus making eight. Transforming upon one's own body is a transformation belonging to one's own body; transforming external persons is called a transformation belonging to another's body.
