論「人中都無生所得者」，有自性念生智，餘趣有生處得智，無自性念生智。自性念生者，以本性念前前生事也。

The Śāstra states: "Among humans, none are acquired through birth." There is knowledge of innate mindfulness of birth; in other destinies, there is knowledge acquired from birth-state, but no knowledge of innate mindfulness of birth. As for innate mindfulness of birth, it is by one's original nature mindfully recalling events of prior and earlier births.
