27.90

論「緣方言詞立為第三」，《正理論》云「若無退智，緣諸方域俗、聖言詞立為第三。即能了知世語、典語，於諸方域種種差別（已上論文）。」

On the Śāstra's statement: "Taking regional words as its object, it is established as the third": the Nyāyānusāra says: "If non-retrogressive knowledge takes the conventional and noble speech of various regions as its object, it is established as the third. That is, it can fully comprehend vernacular speech and classical speech in their various distinctions across all regions (End of the Śāstra text)."
