論「信是淨相至立內等淨名」，釋名也。「信是淨相」，釋淨名也。「離外」，釋內名也。「均流」，釋等也。「淨而內等故立內等淨名」者，合釋也。

On the Śāstra's phrase: "Faith is the characteristic of clarity [...] the name 'internal tranquility' is established": this explains the name. "Faith is the characteristic of clarity (prasāda)" explains the name "tranquility/clarity" (prasāda). "Free from the external" explains the name "internal" (adhyātma). "Flowing evenly" explains "equal/balanced" (sam). "Pure and internally balanced, hence the name 'internal tranquility' is established" combines and explains them.
