28.16

論「又三摩地至皆一境轉」，第四難也。心所等持是大地法，通其定、散。因何散位心亂，定位一境？

The Śāstra states: "Furthermore, samādhi... all proceed upon a single object." This is the fourth objection. The mental factor of concentration is a universal mental factor of the great ground (mahābhūmika), present in both meditative absorption and distraction. Why then in distracted states is the mind confused, whereas in states of absorption it is one-pointed?
