論「若淨近分至亦不能斷」，述未至斷次下地，中間不能斷也。
[On] the śāstra's: "If it is the pure preparatory stage ... it also cannot sever": This explains that the unarrived [concentration] (anāgamya) severs the next lower stage, whereas the intermediate [concentration] (dhyānāntara) cannot sever.
